After a long, hard day at work, how do you recharge your batteries? Give your AA and AAA batteries the equivalent of a backrub and a Red Bull with one of these charging devices and they’ll be ready to go again.
1. Solar Pot
For those who appreciate fun new gadgets, Designer Jangho Kim has created the Solar Pot rechargeable battery station. Just hook your batteries up, plant this pot in the sun and a small LED light will glow when the batteries are ready.
2. USB Cell
If a computer is handier than your charging station, you will appreciate these AA batteries that plug into the USB ports on your computer. No more hunting for that charging station. This is one of two rechargeable battery products on our list that is currently for sale.
3. Energizer’s Solar Battery Recharger
Energizer’s Battery Recharger will be available Summer 2009.
4. Flexible Solar Panel AA Batteries
Although thin solar films have come a long way, rolling up a solar panel into a battery and sliding it into your digital camera is not on the market yet. At this point it’s a comcept but, wow, what a concept.
5. Sony’s Rechargeable Battery Charger
Here’s the other product on our list that is actually available. The readout tells you how much of a charge each battery has left and, after the batteries have charged, lets you know when to unplug the device.
