Member achievements help you earn bragging rights as an active and helpful member of the Greenwala.com community. The more you interact on the site, the more points you earn, and the higher skill level you achieve.
The good news is that when you hit 50,000 points, we will assign a value of $.001 to each point so 50,000 points is equal to $50. When you hit 75,000 points it is worth $75 and so on. Once you hit 50K points, you can continue on or "cash in" the points to fund socially responsible projects like Kiva, plant trees or support a nonprofit to help Haiti relief for example. You will not get the money directly.

As noted in our Terms of Use, Greenwala manages the leveling system and the point value at its sole discretion and reserves the right to modify or discontinue this leveling system at any time without notice. Points earned are not transferable and are only redeemable for socially responsible programs once a member hits 50K points. At that time, each point will have a value of $.001 and be capped at $200. Any attempt at fraud will result in your account being deleted an points forfeited.
Greenwala will at times feature members that reach leveling goals in our communications with members including but not limited to email, Twitter, and Facebook. One last thing, please do not abuse this system (no unrelated posts, fake email addresses, abusive and ridiculous comments) you will be banned.

We believe going green is a journey and is fun. You should be rewarded for good behavior and helping to promote Greenwala. When you participate in the Greenwala.com community, you’re supporting thousands of other people on their journey down the inspiring, challenging and complex path of living a greener lifestyle. We think that’s pretty important and want to thank you by rewarding you for your efforts!
At Greenwala.com we will award points for certain actions members take while visiting and engaging with the site. As you earn points over time, you will skill up to higher levels of achievement which will not only make you feel good but will also help you boost your credibility to other visitors and members. We also may surprise a member at random that we think deserves to be recognized for helping fellow Greenwala's on the site live a greener lifestyle (you must be over 18 to qualify).
Don't forget that when you get to 50K points we will assign a value of $.001 to the points. You can “cash in” the points to support Kiva, plant trees or another pre approved Greenwala non-profit or you can keep earning points till you hit the 200K cap. Please read the FAQ's for more info. and remember that you will not be receiving the money directly.

- How do I earn points?

Please visit the How to earn points section above to see how you earn points. Basically, the more you engage and interact on Greenwala the more points you will earn. You must be a member of Greenwala and logged in, to start earning points. Click here to join.
- Where can I see my points?

They will be displayed on your profile.
- What do I get once I hit the different levels?

You will get a status badge that will be on your profile for the level you attain. In addition, once you hit the 50,000 point level, we will assign a value of $.001 to each point.
- Will you send me money for the value that points will have?

No and this is important, we will not be sending you any money. Instead, you will have the opportunity to donate your point value to either fund a micro-finance project on Kiva.com, plant trees via Trees For The Future or support a pre approved non-profit.
- How do I donate my points?

The Greenwala team will run a report monthly and notify you if you have reached the minimum level for value. If you want to continue and not donate your points then you will keep accumulating points. If you do, you simply respond to us with which of the three options is best for you. We will make the donation and ask the partner to send us a confirmation.
- Who is funding the points?

At launch of the program, we at Greenwala will be funding the points. However we are looking for partners to monetize the points. If anyone is interested in this partnering opportunity, please contact us at partner@greenwala.com
- Can I transfer my points?

- I don’t agree with my points, what should I do?

You can contact us at info@greenwala.com, we will review and if we need to adjust, we will. Please remember, that we can track what happens, so no fraud. This is a program designed to do good.

At our discretion we may elect to award a member who earns the most points with a thank you that could be a Greenwala T-Shirt, a gift card or a cool gadget.

Yes, the more you interact and engage the site, the more you will earn. Remember to comment, post, and invite. If you do those three things, you will do great.
