Gelatine Fabrics Sculpted Into Couture Fashion Menu Items

Fashion designers are generally a wildly inventive bunch, constantly stepping outside of conventional boundaries in an attempt to perpetually surprise, amaze and ideally seduce us into buying their creations.

Of course, those who dabble in most (if not all) artistic disciplines tend to be cut from the very same experimentally liberal cloth.

In response to Amsterdam's International Fashion Week (which ran July 18 - July 26, 2009), a combination art gallery/workshop/cooking studio called De Culinaire Werkplaats decided to put an entirely new spin on their menu by crafting totally edible vegetarian fashion designs.

Their fashion pieces, made out of fruit gelatin fabrics, somehow take on more of a wow factor when draped over well-sculpted mannequin torsos.

Kiwi seed studded fingerless gloves, anyone? Mmmm, lots of omega 3s!

There's no question that their collection of decorative body accessories, dresses and artful neckware serves up a guilt-free and quite sustainable mouthful!

Of course, you might be rather ravenous after your meal, but what an experience!
