Unravel Your Old Cassette Tapes Into Wildly Original Artistic Masterpieces!
Some artists turn the concept of repurposing upside down, only to shake it around for a while and then say, "Tah dahhhh! What do you think of me now?!?"
Von Glitschka from Art Backwash is exactly the type of eco-art hero that our world needs more of.
Seriously, how cool and clever is THIS?!? I'm thinking that he could EASILY win Greenwala's "Choose To Reuse" contest with this piece.

His technique involved layering a blank piece of white paper over a line illustration that he drew of Frank Sinatra and illuminating it with a light box so that he could see the image shining through.
Then, he artfully arranged his strand of cassette tape, following the curves of his illustration, and tacked it down (small sections at a time) with strategic Exacto knife deposits of glue stick.
While he acknowledges that it took him several hours to complete, I'm so inspired that I might just dig out my old Boy George cassette tapes!!

Bravo, Monsieur Vonster from Salem, Oregon -- I take my hat off to you!
