Liberating Yourself From The Mobile Device Plastic Trap -- One Step In The Right Direction

How many people out there are glued to their mobile devices and just can't seem to get enough of them?
Now, by a show of hands, how many of you move onto the next generation of your mobile device (or jump ship and try a different brand/technology) an average of every one to two years?
Can you guess how many of your neighbors and colleagues and friends are just as enthusiastic about their mobile devices as you?

In environmental terms, all that really adds up to is a lot of plastic and petroleum-based materials....and something tells me that even though recycling programs exist, there are still far too many people who don't participate.
Imagine if we could eliminate even just one small part of the plastic mobile device love affair -- even just a power cord made with bamboo rather than plastic would end up making a big difference.

Designer Julien Madérou has thought of one simple yet clever way to liberate the masses from their plastic iPhone and iTouch docking stations.
After working on extensive sketches, he came up with a template for a recycled cardstock docking station that he's making available at no cost to anyone who is interested in downloading it.
Just click this link to access the design and folding instructions.
I would love to see what other eco-friendly innovations Madérou can come up with to help us break free from the rest of the plastic mobile device formula.
Perhaps a DIY coconut carving carrying case how-to?
