Can I make more money by renting items than selling stuff?

Rentalic.com helps people like you and me post everyday items onto a nationwhide website for person to person rentals.  We have all tried to sell unwanted items on Craigslist, Ebay and even Amazon. But what about those items you want to keep, but use very rarely? 

There are people in your area that need those same products but do not want to buy them...getting the concept?

When you sell an item you receive a one time payment say $20.  But when you rent the same item even for just $7, you can make more money that selling it!  Rent it 5 times and you now have $35! 

What are your thoughts on this?
