TOKYO (AFP) - Toyota Motor said Tuesday it would recall its newest Prius model and two other hybrids in Japan owing to brake problems, the latest in a string of safety issues to hit the auto giant.
The recall, which will be filed with Japan's transport ministry later Tuesday, will cover the Prius and its plug-in version, as well as the Sai sedan and the luxury Lexus HS250h, a company spokeswoman said.
She declined to say how many vehicles would be involved or whether the recall would affect overseas markets.
