laughter.jpgThis time of year things can get a little funny. Locked in the house and office by winter can make a person a bit stir crazy. Here are Four ways to naturally enjoy winter!

Take a Walk and Seek out Vitamin D
Yes, it's chilly. But a little exercise can provide great stimulation for your senses. If it happens to be sunny you may get a little boost of Vitamin D, essential to bone health, immune system regulation, increased sense of well-being, improved sleep patterns and even weight loss.

Keep Up your Water Intake
When you are fully hydrated it keeps your skin moisturized (important in the winter), transports nutrients and oxygen to your cells, detoxifies, and moisturizes the air in our lungs. All of these things help keep your healthy and feeling good.

Have a Laugh
Laughter leaves your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after, it decreases stress hormones and boosts the immune system, improving resistance to disease, it releases endorphins which promotes a sense of well being, and increases blood flow which can protect against cardiovascular problems. You can put in your favorite comedy or call up a good friend and have a laugh.

Get Fresh Air Indoors
When you think of the onset of Spring and what makes it so wonderful, green plants, leaves, grass, are shooting up all around providing fresh air. You can get the same benefits by adding some house plants to your house. Make sure if you have children or pets you are not getting poisonous house plants. No house plants? Visit your local arboritum and take in the fresh air.

Winter doesn't last forever. But a happy, healthy Winter is a Winter to enjoy instead of just get through.

    Overcoming Common Drug Rehab Problems
“Probably one of the most common fears that individuals have before they enter treatment is What will everyone think when they find out I’m an addict?” There is a lot of social pressure to appear like you have everything together, even when you do not. Always remember, though, that by the time you realize you need drug rehab, most of the people close to you will already know there is a problem.…”
