Welcoming Our Two New Editors for the Beauty and Family Channels

For those of you that have followed our content closely since last year, you porbably noticed quite a bit of content being added by Elena Lipson aka The Eco Diva.  Elena has spent countless hours working very hard for over a year serving as the Beauty and Family Editor, but as of this week she has stepped down as Editor for both channels. So we would like to welcome our new editors Danika Carter (Beauty Channel) and Leah DeAngelis aka the Eco Mama (Family Editor)  and introduce them to all of you!

Both Danika and Eco Mama have been very active and dedicated writers and members of Greenwala over the past year and we are super excited to have both of them on board as editors! Some of you might be bummed that Elena is stepping down, but don't worry as she is still staying on board and will still be a part of the team by hosting the weekly giveaways, doing product reviews and helping with the new Marketplace.

As I mentioned both Danika and Eco Mama have been providing some great content to all of you for the last several months and I am sure many of you have read their blog posts. As editors, both of them will be managining the daily activities and we look forward to seeing all of their great content.

If you are a member of the site and would like to be a part of the writing team or know someone with an eco blogging  background that would like to become a writer for eaither channel, then please let us know because both Danika and Eco Mama will be building a team of writers.

Family Editor - Eco Mama:

Eco Mama is a green lifestyle writer and the founder of Eco Mama's Guide To Living Green. She has a passion for healthy living and fabulous design. Heavily influenced by the European lifestyle, she has adopted walking and cycling for transportation, and a somewhat minimalist approach to running her small household. She is the mother of a wonderful eco-kid who inspires her every day. Together they live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where eco adventures abound.

Beauty Editor - Danika Carter:

Danika Carter is the mother of a 4yr Jade and step mother to 22yr Richard. She is the owner of YourOrganicLife.com an organic skincare & wellness business which provides education on the cosmetics and personal care industry, organic & nontoxic living, and implementing sustainability into your home and/or office. It features Miessence Certified Organic personal care and nutritional products.

Danika's goal is to help families make informed decisions about the products they bring into their home. She is dedicated to educating families about toxic synthetic chemicals in personal care products, cleaning products, food and household items and has zero tolerance for companies that knowingly greenwash.

Before moving to Colorado she worked as the 1st statewide Campaign Coordinator for the Green Party of California. Danika has 15 years experience in environmental, fair trade, social justice and peace activism during which time she has attempted to live as sustainably as possible. Additionally she has more than 10 years experience producing progressive, corporate and ecological events, meetings and festivals including green events.
