tonic-logo.pngSo yesterday sitting in my inbox (via a Google Alert) was a link to a very nice write up about Greenwala.com on Tonic by Marc Hertz.

It is always a welcome surprise to see a write up about the work you are doing but this time I had a slightly bigger smile.  Herzt's article captures the essence of what we are truly trying to do at Greenwala.

Here is a portion of his article about how Greenwala is different than being on MySpace or Facebook but make sure you head to Tonic to read the full article:

Worry not, my fellow Earth lover. It's Greenwala to the rescue. Founded in early 2008, the for-profit philanthropic company is focused on "harnessing the power of a community to create opportunity for people to 'Go Green' and improve their lives." It's built on pillars that include climate change, a healthier lifestyle, less dependency on foreign oil and focusing on social responsibility. The site combines community participation (groups to join, event postings, classified ads) with green products for sale, channels featuring related videos and articles, and a selection of contests and causes.

Thanks again to Marc Hertz
