Singer Janet Jackson recently announced a new fur line with Blackglama and many people are quite upset about the line including one her biggest fans.  Sean Oltersdorf from Michigan is not only was one of the biggest Janet Jackson fans ever, but also a big animal lover.Oltersdorf apparently has one of the largest collections of Janet Jackson memorabilia that he has been collecting for over 25 years!

So imagine how he felt when he heard that his idol was actually starting a fur line!?  Well, obviously he was not too thrilled and has now partnered with PETA to auction off the whole collection and donate the proceeds to PETA.

Here is what Oltersdorf had to say after learning about Jackson's decision on creating the new fur line:

"I am a long-time Janet Jackson fan -- or, I should say, I used to be. I am disgusted and have decided I want to auction off my entire 25 years-plus of Janet items and donate the proceeds to PETA.  I have three rescued chinchillas and find Janet's decision reprehensible."

It is still mind boggling that celebrities would endorse such a fashion statement, but at the same time it is not shocking and goes to show that PETA's work is justified.

Hopefully, Jackson will see the truth behind what happens to these poor animals for fur products and will reconsider the fashion line.

What do you all think??

I agree with Oltersdorf on his fur stance and am proud of him for taking public action.
