I have a cabinet full of glass jars that I hate to throw out but don't know what to do with them.  I just found some great information today on how to repurpose those old spagehtti jars, jam jars etc.  It seems pretty straightforward.  Find jars that are similar in shape and size so you can easily group them together for display.  Also keep the lids for ease of moving the paint around.

Make sure your jars are clean and labels removed.

Use a Non-Voc paint so you won't have the toxic fumes.

Pour about a 1/4 cup into the jar.  Amount will differ according to jar size.  Replace lid

Roll the paint around the jar to get all the sides.  You may need a thinner paint.  Ask the person selling you the paint if you can thin it with a bit of water.

Pour the excess back out into another jar and keep reusing the excess paint for all the jars.  Add more when needed.

Let the jars sit on layers of newspaper upside down until most of the excess is gone.  Then let dry right side up uncovered for a day.  At the end you should have some as beautiful as these examples.
