Is your mobile phone, PDA, MP3/MP4 player, PSP or NDS Lite glued to your hip at all times? If you’re a tech junkie who has green pumping through your veins, then you probably love the instant convenience of on-the-go communication and entertainment -- but when it comes to recharging your assorted devices, all of those cords hogging your electrical outlets probably leave you with a case of the vampire sucking blues. Brando, a no nonsense manufacturer of various techie goodies, is hoping that their dirt cheap $20 USB Solar Charging 4-Port Hub will captivate the hearts and gotta-get-it shopping minds of the instant gratification generation. Guilty as charged.

For the price of half a tank of gasoline, Brando’s super lightweight, portable and uber-convenient power back up restores the former glory to drained cell phones and USB interfacing digital products. Its six mobile phone connectors accommodate most known cell types and while you can rely exclusively on the sun to work its magic via a built-in lithium battery, you can also fall back on its AC power in a pinch or just plug it into your car. It may not look fancy, but with all the money you save, you can bling it out by gluing on your own rhinestones. Plus, you can still have enough cash remaining to enroll yourself in EDA’s (Electronic Devices Anonymous) 12 step withdrawal program, coming soon to a city near you!

Bob I actually ordered and received a Solio cell phone charger from the Greenwala and Amazon store a couple of weeks ago. My overall assessment is that the chargers are good for when you are in a pinch. I am going to get a no vampire power strip next and see how that goes. That may work better for me because it will charge faster, I can have it in a more convenient place (next to me in the office) and it will stop drawing power once the charge is complete. Anyway, once I receive it, I will let all the Greenwala's know what I think.
