http://www.ideablob.com/ideas/5159--DistrAction-Figures-Developin I am very happy to say that my business idea and concept is now 1 of 8 finalists to win $10,000.00 from ideablob.com.
I am currently in a showdown vote and NEED all the support I can get with votes.
The voting period is from 4/22/09 through 4/30/09.
Please show your support and vote here:  http://www.ideablob.com/ideas/5159--DistrAction-Figures-Developin

Who are "The Cheap Skaterz" anyway?
"The Cheap Skaterz" brand are a green friendly crew developed for animation and print media markets. My wish is to give children hope and laughter through the adventures the Cheap Skaterz create. Being less fortunate doesn't have to mean being less important.

A comical crew of "under-priviledged" but tenacious group, who spend most of their time at their club house and make-shift skate park which resides in their local junkyard.

Each character reinforces the brand name Cheap Skaterz with pun-intended names relating to being cheap or down and out. "Dirk Poor","Penny Pincher","Owen Ustuph""Omar Money","Pam Handler"and "Spare Chang".Their biggest arch nemesis is "Al Fluent", the rich kid who has everything!

The Cheap Skaterz utilize the recycled materials from their local Junkyard (and make-shift clubhouse/skatepark) to create a "wealth" of adventure, while trying to stay out of a "wad" of trouble!

Motto:  "We're just keeping it real.... Real Cheap!"

Chris, this is great stuff. I love you creativity. These characters are awesome. You got my vote. Ok Wala's let's get over to the site Chris references and let's help him win. His concept is a great way to help educate the younger generation. Good luck Chris!

Thanks Raj!.. The Wala's support is greatly appreciated!..

And for an inside note: The Cheap Skaterz are loosely based on my childhood... "Dirk Poor" is me! :)

Hi Chris, You received my vote! Love your DistrAction Figures.....I could see teens/tweens sending them as 'stickers' via facebook. Would you consider creating an application for that?

Chris -- I just took a few minutes to check out the art work that you posted on Idea Blob (the pix are posted on a larger scale, so the detail is really easy to see). I also got a good sense of the message that you're trying to send out via this eco-comic crew. I think you have an excellent concept which will certainly appeal to the up-and-coming green-conscious generation, but your characters have a hip, edgy vibe that even I like (as a slighty, ahem, older person), so maybe you can cross many age barriers. I am especially impressed with your graphic skills and really wish you the best in this endeavor. I just voted for you -- but I really hope that Idea Blob's requirement that all voters register first (before being allowed to vote for your idea) won't turn Greenwala supporters off. I'm going to try to champion your cause right now ;)

Hi Elizah - Thank you for the kind words and support!.. I appreciate the feedback . Yes, I can see how registering may be a hindrance to getting more support. However, it does only take a minute and is required to honestly track the voting. I have exhausted my resources with trying to spread the word to obtain more support, so I am truly thankful for your help!...
