When switching to nontoxic beauty products, one of the last products most women change out is their hairspray.  It's not easy to find truly organic and natural brands of hairspray that are safe for your health and the environment.

But, here are 3 brands to consider:

This hairspray is also certified organic, so you can be sure there are no harmful ingredients.  It has quinoa protein to add body and hold and smoothes hair fiber to prevent frizzing and bring out natural shine, and herbal gums give the hair extra fullness.

Ingredients:

Aqua, alcohol denat. (38b, lavender*), chenopodium quinoa seed extract*, acacia gum*, oryza sativa (rice) syrup*, citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) peel oil*, citrus medica limonum (lemon) peel oil*, citrus aurantifolia (lime) oil*, eucalyptus globulus leaf oil* *Organic

Rahua hair spray is also certified organic and is alcohol free.  Citrus juices are used to keep the hair in place and lavender and eucalyptus calm the senses.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Extract*, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemongrass) Extract*, Zea Mays (Corn) Silk Extract *, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Extract*, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane)*, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil (Citronellol, Farnesol, Lilial, Limonene)*, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil (Limonene)*, Tabebuia Impetiginosa Bark Extract, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Pectin.

Notice that neither of these hairprays are aerosol.  Both have pumps.  This CFC's that will harm the environment.  Also with a pump spray you can target the area you want to spray and will have less product loss as you spray it into the air.

With these 3 certified organic hair spray options, there is no reason to keep using toxic hair spray.

Great find Danika. Have you tried them all? Do you have a preference? I stopped using hairspray years ago, but there are times I wish I had a safe option. I'll keep my eye out for these, thanks.
