Here, on this lovely Thursday in October, is a list of things that I've uncovered and grown to adore about lipstick and liptint from Origins:
1. I can pronounce and comprehend the natural, cruelty-free ingredients. Not only that, reading them makes me feel oddly...hungry....
2. They leave my lips feeling soft, smooth, and vaguely pepperminty.
3. They come in a wide variety of radiant and natural shades that generally complement most skin tones.
4. The radiant and natural shades won't leave prints on your married boyfriend's collar. Theoretically.
5. The quality and variety of lip colors and products appeals to both the young and not-so-young.

Hmmmm....Social Engineering.....!
6. $14 a pop isn't too bad for a decent lipstick from a quality and cruelty-free major company. Starving artists, students, and The Generally Broke will feel the pinch, however, so it never hurts to insist that your mother give it a try, and then inadvertently benefit when she falls immediately in love with it, buys one, and then treats you to a couple of your very own out of sheer pity for your broke-ness while she's at it. It may even be such a touching event that it will prompt the attending sales lady to hand out free samples as if it were the answer to world poverty. Theoretically.
7. Free samples!
