Wheat is often associated with with warm foods, mainly bread, pasta, breakfast, and baked goods. However, giving up gluten will not leave you out in the cold - there are plenty of dishes that will make you feel all snuggly inside. Here are a few examples:

Gluten-Free Ramen Noodles - a wonderful alternative to the unhealthy store-bought version. Satisfy your craving for the bad-stuff with this recipe, which is "a perfect comforting meal for a cold night." If you're a vegetarian, skip the shrimp or swap it out for a plant-based mock-seafood.

Hearty Southwestern Sweet & Spicy Soup - a easy recipe with the use of the crock pot and a great way to use up ingredients you already have in the kitchen. It is "sweet with heat" - spicy with a pinch of sugar.

Kabocha Squash Stuffed with Brown Rice and Chickpea Pilaf - crunchy, dense, and extremely flavorful. A lovely autumn meal full of nutrients and protein.

Chocolate Acorn Squash Baked Custard - surprisingly simple, given the gourmet name. "Creamy, rich, and chocolatey, I dare you to eat just one bite."

Gluten Free Crusty Bread Recipe - if you're jonesing for some warm bread this is the recipe for you, and it doesn't require a bread machine! "There is nothing in this world that will make you feel like a baker more than creating your own loaves of bread."
