Untitled Jersey City Project is a unique web series taking small snippets from a larger story line (potential movie) that is not already made. There are eight little webisodes that each give you a different glimpse of the story with each having they own unique story within itself.
If you are a person that likes a beginning middle and end to everything you see then this might not be for you, but if you are someone that likes intrigue and mystery then this might be right up your alley. Episode 2 of 8 opens with a scene with a reporter named Jane Kaplan getting a little frisky with Frank and a moment later you get a flashback to when Jane and Frank met one another to discuss the "troubled" Waterfront Stadium Project. Frank is with Ray who seems to be the one that set up the meeting.
This scene allows you to understand what happens in this two minute episode as it reveals that Jane has written a feature about the Stadium Project. Jane sticks her foot in her mouth as she is bad mouthing Larry who seems to be the one behind the stadium project. Jane calls Larry a crook without realizing he is standing right behind her.
The short ends with Larry pretty upset with Ray, as we see Larry punching Ray and questioning his worth. So again there is no resolution in this short, but it did pique my interest enough to make me want to watch the other episodes to fill in the blanks.
There will be eight total episodes of Untitled Jersey City Project and perhaps if they all do well, then it will lead to a larger budget and perhaps more episodes. It is unique approach to story telling and I love mysteries and trying to solve what is happening when I watch something so I really enjoyed it!
For a little mobisode the acting was not bad and I have seen much worse, but it is definitely worth a watch. Please watch Episode 2 below and let us know what you thought?
