The news has not been good the last couple of days. In fact, it's been downright scary and depressing. The devastating earthquake /tsunami that hit Japan a couple of days ago, along with new threats of nuclear meltdowns, has got a lot of people staring at their TVs, confused as to what to do. Do we give money? Do we pray? Do we hole up in our rooms with a bag of cheetos until everything gets sorted out?
As I read through stories to write about this morning, I decided that I just couldn't post something that would cause more anxiety. Honestly, at this point, I've had my fill of stories that worry me. It's good to be informed, and the more we know about what's happening the Middle East or Japan, the better world citizens we can be – but there's certainly a limit to the amount of news a person can take.
Which is why, today, I'm showing you a picture of an expensive, ultra-modern doghouse. I mean, look at this thing. It's totally unnecessary and probably way too expensive for any pet owner to actually buy. Also – what dog really cares about having a raised roof?
As incomprehensible as this doghouse is, I think it's important to write about it on a day like today. A day when we could all use a well deserved minute of absurdity.
Because frankly, that thing is ridiculous.
