Take a look under your kitchen sink or in your pantry cupboard. Is is filled with the leading cleaning products? I know I am guilty of it. Windex, lysol, pledge and clorox are stored in my kitchen waiting to be used. DId you realize that these household cleaners are all hazardous toxic chemicals to both people and the environment? Although they work wonders on dirt and grime, they can cause serious health problems.
The dangerous secret is that most cleaners are made from hazardous synthetic toxic chemicals. These substances are linked to cancer, asthma, reproductive and developmental disorders, neurological problems, hormonal disruption, and more. The more we inhale the small doses of these chemicals, the more dangerous it is for our well-being.
The solution to this is to clean out the toxic closet. Make is a "greenie" rather than a "meanie". Remove all the solutions that have the words "Danger," "Poison," or "Warning" on the label. If the ingredients include synthetic chemical ingredients get rid of them. Also toss the bottles that don't state the ingredients. If they aren't willing to tell us what they put in the solution, then we probably don't want to be inhaling it.
Remember not to pour these solutions down the drain. Look up hazardous wast disposal sites close to your home for proper disposal.
