Tax the bottle, pay for schools

bottled-water-jj-0011.jpgThis is the concept proposed by Michigan's Lt. Governor, John Cherry.  Specifically, businesses that make a profit from filtering and bottling Michigan water should pay 10 cents for every bottle they sell.  He says the state could collect $118 million dollars a year!

What an increidble idea for all the states having a budget crisis!  The next thing I would like to see is a tax on the use of plastic bags!  The tax would probably be pushed out onto the consumers which hopefully would make them use reusable water bottles and bags.
