About a month ago there were several reports of Toyota making a new Electric Vehicle with auto maker Tesla. Nothing was confirmed until today. The folks at Inhabitat are reporting that Toyota has confirmed working with Tesla, but no other details are know.
It is possible that the new car will be a hybrid of the two manufacturers using the technology from Tesla in a Toyota. The good news is we won't have to wait too long because a prototype will be done by the end of the year.
